The first of a planned series of Family Open Days was held at the Mauravillo Estate in Wundowie on Saturday 13th May 2017 and was, clearly, a great success.

The attendees were treated to a free lunch of homegrown lamb and locally grown produce while being shown examples of cooking methods to prepare their own healthy food.

 

Chris Ferreira of The Forever Project entertained those present showing the importance of soil improvement and pasture management to conserve water, promote healthy pastures and reduce erosion and waste.

 

Experienced chef, Tim Kershaw of Vaha Urban Farm in Hilton, stressed the health and lifestyle benefits of preparing and eating homegrown food.
